TSA Precheck

Get it.

I received my TSA PreCheck about a year ago, and have found it to be a supremely valuable asset.

The process was quite simple – complete the online application, attend a short conference that involves a background check and fingerprinting, pay the $85 fee, and then you receive your KTN in a few weeks.

I still arrive at the airport early, but the amount of time I spend in line is drastically reduced, and the usual security checkpoint protocols are less burdensome. Occasionally you may still have to go through the old fashioned way because of things like randomized screening, periods of heightened security, or any other reason that may never be made clear.

Regardless, if you fly regularly, I highly recommend getting it.
